On my ”Eat, Pray, Love” (as I call it) venture I recently went through, I learned the importance of Feminism in today’s society and why it’s such a dumb idea to hate it and hate on your fellow Feminists. I’m not talking about being a FemiNazi, no, no. I’m talking about being a strong, independent womxn who uplifts other womxn and realizes all that the womxn from the past have done in order for us lovely ladies to do things like vote and you know, exist without having to be fully controlled by men.
Saying that, we definitely still have a very long way to go for total equality, but the focus of this article isn’t the history of Feminism, but rather our ability as womxn to put our fellow womxn down for things that we should all be embracing. Being jealous of another womxn, calling her names and basically doing what a lot of men do is a bunch of crap. I strongly believe that our jealousy and dislike for other girls stems from how you’ve been treated over the years by men. I don’t hate men, yeah they’re trash, but I definitely don’t hate ALL of them. We see how ”prettier” womxn are treated by men and so we immediately dislike that girl because she’s getting more attention than us. (I’m not saying ALL womxn do this, it’s something I personally used to do and I’m not proud of it!)
It’s 2019 girls, LOVE each other, create your GirlGang, compliment other womxn and when you see a womxn who is dressed ”inappropriately” shut your mouth about how she’s dressed. Your issue isn’t always other womxn. If a guy cheats on you, he’s trash. If a womxn cheats on you, she’s also trash. It’s all about equality. Point being, don’t be an asshole, try to be better than you were yesterday and if you’re genuinely a nice person, thanks the world appreciates you!
